VP Debate

I have to admit, that debate did not turn into the comedic made for TV movie I was expecting it to.

I thought both candidates did a great job at presenting themselves. Definately glad I watched.

. . .I sure do bet that the folks at SNL are hugely disappointed. And that's probably for the best.

I think we all have been inundated with the upcoming election. Ads, speeches, tv shows, etc all have the upcoming presidential election all over. But our friends to the north have all of a sudden catipulted themselves ahead of our election....and I think most of us don't even realize what's going on....what am I talking about?

The canadian Prime Minister went to the Governor General, Michaelle Jean, at 9am last Sunday and asked her to officially dissolved Canada's Parliment and force an election. The Prime Minister managaed to do this in a loop hole in Canadian law which somehow allows the Governor General to dissolve the Canadian Parliment when asked to by the Prime Minister....what's more interesting is that the Governor General is a direct representative of Queen Elizabeth II over there in England AND the Governor General position is purely ceremonial and whatever the Prime Minister asked of her.

Check out this stuff...

oh and its said that the prime minister of canada is doing this to help strengthen the conservative stronghold in parliment.

Goodbye Kwame

After watching and listening to all of the mayoral mess in Detroit today I've come to a few conclusions:

The mayor is still:

a crook
a liar
a cheater
a hypocrite
a thief
a disappointment.

Not only that, I can't stand how the kwame must always try to personally blame others of creating a larger problem by doing their jobs, when finding wrong doing with him.

the media - we as media are all to blame for this. instead of focusing on him only for "ratings stunts" we could have been more productive following something else.

the city council - he blames them for holding the city back when they looked into his behavior.

the wayne county prosecutor - because by prosecuting him, murders, drug deals, robberies all were not being solved because she wastes her time on him and not what she is elected to do.

my favorite today: the governor - blatantly blaming the governor for holding back progress in the state for investigating the mayor. today in his "graceful" goodbye speech trying to now make the governor look like she is messing up the city by doing, her constitutionally required hearing.

lets not forget what got him here today....the brown and nelthrop firing.... like jon stewart said: "ijfgb"

This isn't over yet....once the details, about that "party" at the mansion that got someone murdered, comes out....he'll be in jail for life.

i hope kwame just disappears and never comes back.

don't even get me started on all those raises he gave to his friends and relatives last week, including the now retired police chief Ella bully-cummings.

Never Lie to Your Mother

You don't even have to be a mother to enjoy this one...

Brian invited his mother over for dinner. During the course of the meal, Brian's
mother couldn't help but notice how beautiful Brian's roommate, Jennifer, was.

Suspicious of a relationship between Brian and Jennifer, this had only made her
more curious. Over the course of the evening, while watching the two interact,
she started to wonder if there was more between Brian and Jennifer than met the

Reading his mom's thoughts, Brian volunteered, 'I know what you must be
thinking, but I assure you Jennifer and I are just roommates.'

About a week later, Jennifer came to Brian saying, 'Ever since your mother came
to dinner, I've been unable to find the beautiful silver gravy ladle. You don't
suppose she took it, do you?'

Brian said, 'Well, I doubt it, but I'll send her an e-mail just to be sure.'

So he sat down and wrote, 'Dear Mom: I'm not saying that you 'did' take the
gravy ladle from the house, I'm not saying that you 'did not' take the gravy
ladle, but the fact remains that one has been missing ever since you were here
for dinner. Love, Brian'

Several days later, Brian received an email back from his mother that read:
'Son: I'm not saying that you 'do' sleep with Jennifer, I'm not saying that you
'do not' sleep with Jennifer, but the fact remains that if Jennifer was sleeping
in her own bed, she would have found the gravy ladle by now.. Love, Mom'
