Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to all my LiveJournal people. It has been one year and 15 days since I last updated this, that is rather sad. It is turning out to be a white Christmas here, which is very nice, hopefully it lasts through Easter :)

My Mom

Its so hard for me to believe what has happened.  I still don't think I believe.  This is the longest amount of time I've gone in my life without talking toher.  I'm glad that we spent as much time together as we could.  I'm going to miss our impromtu "field trips" to the casino, our friday lunches at the coney island and our trips together.  We went to NYC and rode the subway watched the view, and went to the clothing shop that my mom saw a gossip magizine.  I talked to my mom minutes before the accident and she was so excited to get home.  I just helped her on thursday order a new cell phone, one that would work at her new house in gaylord, it was pink, didn't have a bulky anntenna, took pictures, and it was slim.  The phone came minutes later from the UPS delivery person and when I called my mom back Ray answered the phone and he was already in an ambulance and the helicopter was on its way to get my mom.  It just kills me that she's not here with me anymore.  Going through some of my moms stuff I found it interesting that she has cash stored everywhere.  Little amounts here and there more in some other places all hidden around the house and in her belongings.  My sister found my grandfathers will, my mom's dad.  Hand written on it  was a note that said to look everywhere for hidden cash in teeshirts under drawers.  My mom must have picked up on that.  Maybe because of the divorce she went through made her do that.   I have so many unanswered questions for her.  She loved her new "big house" in gladwin it was on the lake.  They were coming home from there when it happened.  She told me about lining up all of her stuffed animals on the second floor that overlook the living room.  Ray and my mom just celebrated their wedding anniversary this weekend.  She was always so positive about the future.

its so not fair. i just don't understand why.

Jeep Fixed

I've been having some problems with my Jeep lately and last week I finally caved and brought it into the dealer to get it looked at and then it went back again today. Without anymore ado, here is all the stuff that got fixed.
  1. Check engine light software upgrade
  2. Replaced blower resister (heat/AC fan)
  3. 4x4 Indicator switch broken. Replaced
  4. Front Sway Bars replaced, one was completey broken
  5. Right Front Axle U-Joint Replaced
  6. Speed sensor houseing leaking trans fluid, replaced and fluid topped off.
  7. Rear breaks replaced
  8. Front and Rear Differential & Transfer Cases fluid flushed and replaced
  9. Rear Drive Shaft U-Joints Replaced
  10. Tune UP- New spark plugs, battery service, idle speed & timing adjusted
  11. Fuel Induction system cleaned.  Clean throttle body, fuel injector, air intake system, & valves. Remove Combustion chamber deposits.
So at 85,684 miles today I have invested $2,150.66 in my Jeep in the last two weeks.  I hope there are not any more problems for a long time.  Although I will have to admit this has been the only major servicing I've had to do in the 4 years I've had it.  The only other "repairs" that have been done are the regular oil changes, air filter changes, new tires, and breaks were replaced once before.   Lets hope now that my gas mileage comes back to what it was.

"Angels Night"

I'm surprised how few houses in the neighborhood have their porch lights on tonight. It seems like people are forgetting so soon. Although in my mind it's still refered to as Devil's Night, not the politically correct "Angel's Night."

Also it wasn't until recently that I realized that this problem is not a nation wide thing, but something only most Detroiters are familiar with.
